MAQBOOL

Maqbool, is an adaptation of William Shakesphere's Macbeth. The film is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj with a very powerful and veteran casts such as Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Irrfan, Tabbu, etc. The story dwells around Maqbool(Irrfan) and his affair with Nimmi (Tabbu). The film is one of the finest adaptation. No such work has been done in film industry.

The angles and the shots have been designed very aesthetically. Vishal Bharadwaj has attained success in making an intriguing film by taking out each and every character's raw emotions. One of the most favorite scene of mine is when Pankaj Kapoor, tabbu and their convoy is heading toward a Dargah, in between Tabbu asks to stop the car and demands that she would go to Dargah only by walking and dwells into an argument with Pankaj Kapoor, meanwhile Irrfan comes from the second Car and asks Pankaj about what happened and the veteran actor throws an impactful dialogue "अरे मियां, ये इश्क़ बहुत बड़ी बीमारी है, पूरी कायनात हमारी मुट्ठी में है, और ये पित्ते भर की औरत नहीं संभालती हमसे !" and the Irrfan tries to convice Pankaj Kapoor and assures that he will accompany the lady to the Dargah. The shot after that is one of the most beautiful and best shot of the film according to me. The shot is given below

The film is raw, engaging and one of the masterpiece from the director. No such films can be made without practicing world cinema. The writers of the film have become successful in delivering a healthy script with its dilouges. The camera speaks more in the film. None of us can question on Irrfan's acting. He is being missed, his eyes speaks more than him. His eyes express more than his face. Naseer sir and Om sir have done their job so well. Piyush Mishra grabs the audience's attention in one of the sequences of the film. The background score has been given by Vishal Bhardwaj. The qawwali adds a fine touch to the film.

In the end, MAQBOOL is a film with all the elements perfect. You can watch it several times without getting distracted.

MAQBOOL, A MUST WATCH
